After visiting Starbase at the very southern end of Padre Island, we decided to stop at one of our favorite places. It’s also on Padre Island, just South of Corpus Christi, Texas. We’ve both been here a few times, in great weather, and just ahead of an ice and snowstorm. This time, the weather was beautiful, and we managed to snag a spot at Malaquiet Campground located in the Padre Island National Seashore. We had time for three days and secured a spot with a clear view of the surf. There are no hookups, but we’ve gotten accustomed to the new RV, so staying was much easier than anticipated.
